Appointment of Carine KARAÏLIEV, Director of Agropolis Fondation

The entire Agropolis Fondation team is delighted to welcome Carine Karaïliev who has been appointed as Director by the founding members. She will join us on September 4, 2023.

A few words about her professional background:

After an initial three years’ experience in Russia launching the Prince de Lu brand (then part of the Danone Group), Carine specialized in the organization and management of major training events.

For over 15 years, she had the opportunity to work closely with renowned professionals: university presidents, university professors-hospital practitioners, research unit directors, agricultural engineers, city council presidents... who have all organized major events with the common aim of developing skills and encouraging exchanges within their community.

In 2020, she took over as head of the Google Ateliers Numériques programme in the
Occitanie Region - a free training programme open to all supported by Google France - and as from 2021 she was responsible for developing national partnerships alongside the headquarters teams.

Carine Karaïliev succeeds François Pierrot (2023, interim) and Marie-Christine
Cormier-Salem (2018-2022). She will be particularly committed to expanding the scope of the Foundation’s activities in the many areas of expertise of the Montpellier campus. In particular, she will seek to strengthen existing partnerships and forge new ones, both nationally and internationally.
