The Global Alliance for the Future of Food publishes Beacons of Hope: Stories of Food Systems Transformation During COVID-19 to coincide with the gathering of the 74th World Health Assembly this week. This short report is a compilation of Beacons of Hope stories shared online between October 2020 - February 2021, creating a snapshot of how Beacons of Hope responded to the pandemic with creativity and catalyzed local systems change.
Led by community groups, innovative policymakers, progressive private sector players, social entrepreneurs, and drawn from different countries around the world, these stories reveal why food systems need to change, while also serving to push back against popular narratives that maintain the status quo and dominate thinking about the future of food.
